HIPLI, THE REUSABLE PACKAGE

Every year, 1.3 billion parcels are shipped in France, generating 300,000 tonnes of waste. These 300,000 tonnes are as heavy as 30 Eiffel Towers combined and emit 115,800 tonnes of CO2e.
115,800 tonnes of CO2e = 125 million Paris-Lyon train journeys or 86,000 Paris-New York plane journeys (link: https://datagir.ademe.fr/apps/impact-co2/).

Hipli parcels are designed to be reused 100 times.
Made from recycled plastic, their environmental impact is lower than that of a traditional cardboard parcel: -83% of the carbon footprint for the large format, for example.

The lightweight parcels can be folded into a letter format to limit the environmental impact of the postal return: a postal journey between Tours and Le Havre emits 20g of CO2, the average impact of sending an e-mail.

HOW IT WORKS

Select the Hipli option
when you place
your order

Receive your
order in a reusable
Hipli parcel

Fold the Hipli
parcel into its return
pouch

Send it back free of charge via your nearest post box, or use it for your personal delivery (scan the QR code on the parcel and follow the instructions).

The parcel is then received at the Hipli workshop in Le Havre, where it is cleaned and repaired if necessary before being put back into circulation. All the figures provided by HIPLI are based on data from Ademe, Citeo and a Life Cycle Assessment carried out by EVEA. The full analysis is available here for those who want to understand all the impacts.
